My First Day of Taking a Lesson

My First Day of Taking a Lesson

My first day of taking a lesson in school was a memorable and emotional experience. Before entering the classroom, I felt a mixture of excitement and nervousness, wondering how the students would respond to me. With my lesson plan in hand and my mentor’s encouragement in mind, I walked inside with a confident smile. The children looked at me eagerly, and their curious faces gave me the courage I needed. As I began the lesson, my voice trembled a little, but gradually I became more comfortable. The students answered my questions, participated actively, and showed real interest in the topic, which boosted my confidence. I also used questioning, examples, and gestures just as I had practiced during micro-teaching. By the end of the class, the nervousness I had carried disappeared completely. When the students thanked me with smiles, I felt a deep sense of accomplishment. That first lesson taught me that teaching is not just about delivering content—it is about connection, patience, and continuous learning. It was truly a day I will always remember.
